Issa Rae is absolutely flawless, gracing the April cover and her first solo cover of Essence Magazine this week. The photoshoot was shot by Itaysha Jordan and styled by Jason Rembert. The actress, writer and producer continues to stun the world with her burgeoning elegance and glowing beauty. She displays the true nature of what it is to be pure glamour. Issa was gracious for her second yet, first solo cover on Instagram. She expressed the time the iconic black magazine placed her on the cover with women that she admired, “Four years ago, when all I had was a web series and a book, @Essence put me on my first cover with four incredible women I look up to: Ava, Mara, Shonda and Ms. Debbie. It was their “Game Changers” issue and I kept thinking, “I can’t believe they chose me.” Well, we all can! Not to mention, it was a no brainer for Essence’s to put Issa Rae on the cover, she brings joy to anyone that watches her move on and off screen. We are so excited to see what transpires in the future for Issa Rae… IS THAT A RING WE SEE?

Diana Ross

Diana Ross celebrated her 75th birthday (#DiamondDiana) party at the Warwick Club in LA on Tuesday, March 26th. The night was filled with vibrant colors, feathers, glitter, and more! Ms. Ross’ party was an absolute disco ball. As usual Diana Ross put on a fabulous show, changing her outfits, giving us EXTRA glam! “Queen Bey might be the deal for your generation, but for Baby Boomers, Diana Ross was the star we had always wanted,” my grandmother explains. Diana Ross is the extremely fabulous queen; she embodies grace and elegance.“Baby love, my baby love.” Her daughter and Black-ish star, Tracee Ellis Ross slayed a pink feathered coat, paired with all white Adidas sneakers and a bob cut. Embodying her mothers iconic style and grace. With Beyoncé serenading Ms. Ross with “Happy Birthday,” it was truly an unforgettable night fit for an iconic Queen.

“Diversity is still a huge issue. We need more people of color in positions of power to green light content. If you want to see content of color, then it has to be in the hands of people of color.” — Issa Rae
