Beyoncé has stopped our news cycle again and is now partnering with Adidas! The sportswear giant announced on Thursday, April 4 (Beyoncé keeps the number four in our orbits) that it would be collaborating with the superstar entertainer to produce apparel and footwear as part of Ivy Park’s re-launch.

The Ivy Park x Adidas collection will range from performance to lifestyle products, and a “unique purpose-driven program focused on empowering and enabling the next generation of athletes, creators and leaders.” The brand described the pair as “natural partners,” and for Beyonce, this deal was a no brainer.

In a  press release Beyoncé stated:

“This is the partnership of a lifetime for me, Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business.”

In November 2018 Beyoncé became the sole owner of Ivy Park (which she started with her business partner and owner of Topshop, Phillip Green) and effectively brought out Green’s share following sexual harassment allegations made against him. Though, she’s partnering with Adidas Beyoncé will retain 100% ownership of Ivy Park. Beyonce will join the Adidas’ star-studded roster, which includes Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Karlie Kloss and others.

Childish Gambin

We’ve been waiting patently for new music from Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino since his world stopping premiere of “This is America,” in 2018. After his fans caught wind of a new feature film starring him and Rihanna, Guava Island, it’s been pins and needles ever since.

Well it looks like we’re a little closer to the films trailer and new music too! Twitter user shared a video of an advertisement that has been popping up on Spotify. Which features a poster illustration for the upcoming film with “Saturday Night, April 13,” printed at the bottom. The audio clip is snippet of a tropical yet rustic vibe with light vocals by Gambino. If listen to the very end you here him say “I’ll see you at the show everyone,” which is mostly likely a reference to his Coachella Festival headlining performance, this year.

Whatever it means we’re amped and ready to see, hear and rock with Childish Gambino and hopefully Rihanna, too soon! We’ll keep you posted as more news develops.
