Exciting news just dropped down, in the wake of our new political climate. Solange and Esperanza Spalding are listed to both perform at upcoming, “alternative inauguration ball; Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance—is presented by Busboys and Poets, and takes place at the National Museum of African American History and Culture per, The Washington Post. Among the guest to attend are Melissa Harris Perry, Activist Angela Davis and Danny Glover to name a few, as the list continues to grow. The event is to take place on January 19th the day before the Presidential Inauguration. There is definitely a surreal feeling that this month and the week of all the changes happening are going to be a spectacle for sure.
The news of the the Peace Ball comes right off the heels of First Lady Michelle Obama’s final address earlier today. Though, we are all teary eyed at the major adjustment we’ll be making, we are gearing up to continue to fight the good fight for hope, justice and resist any form of hatred or injustice that comes our way as "We The People."
