Spring is here and as we begin to shed our layers of clothing while the snow melts, the rain drains and the sun beams above as the season of renewal restarts us all. Our beauty routines and looks ought to change too, right? Nothing's more refreshing than giving your skin a "make-under" look while intensifying the glow and dewiness in your skin. Here I break-down how to pull off this look in just a few simple steps.
Cheeks
The key to achieving this look is to work with emollient and creamy bases. Over powdering can create undesirable texture on the skin and prevent you from achieving a beautiful dewy glow. After you've applied your Base and Color (Foundation/ Blush/Bronzer) apply a creme highlight, preferably one with a golden bronze tint, directly on the cheek bones working at a 45 Degree angle toward the hairline. Once you've applied your creme highlight, use a clear lip gloss or gloss with a hint of shimmer and apply it directly over your creme highlight. I find that using a foundation brush or blush brush can be a bit messy when working with a gloss, so just use your ring finger to work the gloss onto the skin.
To achieve this glossy high shine eyelid, I mixed my favorite clear Lip Gloss and Loose Glitter and applied it directly to the lid with my finger. To prevent the gloss from smearing mascara, wait to apply the gloss products after the mascara has completely dried on the lashes.
Lips
Make sure that your lips are moisturized and free of any chapped skin before creating this look. Using the same mixture of gloss and loose glitter I used on the eyelids, I applied it directly on to the lips with a lip brush.
Finish off the look with your favorite facial mist or setting spray, preferably one that will leave a dewy radiant finish.
