Though the weather is currently resembling everything but, Spring in sight it takes a real wonder woman to create a beautiful, stylishly floral fantasy, that can take us to the better days ahead. The new Lion Babe visual for their new single “Honey Dew” is just the medicine Old Man Winter needs to take a hike until next December. The beautiful mellow and hypnotic song is what we’ve come accustomed to from the duo singer/frontwoman Jillian Hervey and her producing partner Lucas Goodman perfect compliment each other in their new clip.
The duo take to a field of wheat-grass, filled with dynamic mythological structures by Roy Kanwit at the Taconic Sculpture Park; with Hervey turning on her inner peacock wearing a bold forest green ostrich feather coat, making her fiery red braids stand out even more. Insert the abundant flows of florals, bold spring colors and the oversized architecture of the park which all plays into a dreamy mellow world Lion Babe is becoming accustomed to producing. While Jillian Hervey's big flowing blood orange, voluminous curls making, nude latex gloves and green sleeveless dress only add to the overall vivid moving picture of the Spring we all long for right now.
This dreamily brooding visual is perfectly befitting in our hopes of better weather too soon to come; while vibing out in our blankets and PJ's this first weekend of Spring. "Honey Dew" is Lion Babe's first release of 2018, following their previous single "Rockets," featuring rapper Moe Monks, they dropped late last year. The duo released their freshmen LP, in 2016.
