It’s time to finally declare the end of 2021, with all that we’ve been through, another deja-vu of tyranny in yet, another pandemic year. Armed with the hopeful optimism of 2022 being a brighter litmus test for our society and overall humanity. One can only guess where we go from here?

In an age where hopefulness seems to be a cliché and our collective cynicism is in overdrive, there is no better time than now for a reprieve. What exceptional way to apply the phrase "relax, relate, release," coined by the always luxe and stylish iconic TV character Whitley Gilbert, then spending twenty-four hours in Paris, France?

Like one of our favorite contributors whose a true American Girl in Paris, Yazmin Monet Watkins-Vieux spent her holidays across the pond in France soaking up the French mode de vie with her beaus family and friends. Visiting the likes of Musée du Louvre, Hotel Adèle & Jules to Wheelz and Feet (rollerskating around the world) and more within just twenty-four hours.

I appreciated that everywhere I went they asked for your “Pass sanitaire” which requires negative Covid test and/or proof of vaccination. It made me feel safer going out. I always love Paris at Christmas time. There’s an energy in the city that just exudes delight. Skating is my fave way to get around the city, sometimes it’s actually faster than catching a rideshare service. Skating with friends is even better.

I really love Paris and getting a chance to visit my husband’s side of our family.🇫🇷🎄🥐🤎
