INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey (protein of choice)
- 1 box of linguine or fettuccine (pasta of choice)
- 1 lb. lean ground turkey (protein of choice)
- 1 box of linguine or fettuccine (pasta of choice)
- 28oz. marinara sauce
- 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 3 tbsp. Mascarpone
- Bunch of Fresh basil
- 2 Cloves of garlic
- Kosher Salt
- Black pepper
- Crushed red pepper flakes
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
Directions
In a large pot bring 8 quartz of water to a boil (add a 1/2 tbsp. of EVOO to the water), once water comes to a boil add a liberal handful of kosher salt to the water and then add pasta; cooking for 8 minutes until al dente (do not rinse pasta). Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and strain (to stop cooking process) and set noodles aside. In a medium saucepan cook ground meat with a little water and cooking oil (like Sunflower or Safflower oil - cooks at very high temps and is a healthier alternative). Once brown add noted seasonings.

- Once brown add noted seasonings.
- Add in diced tomatoes, garlic, and seasonings to cooked ground meat
- Next, add marinara as needed to cover the meat and mix in mascarpone for texture
- Add noodles to the sauce torn pieces of fresh basil leaves and EVOO drizzle.
