SEPTEMBER 2026
Editors Letter
The final quarter begins.
Before we step into the fourth quarter, before we get into mad-rush mode for the holiday season, which will surely be here in the blink of an eye, September is here to reintroduce us to the world of business.
September’s theme is Busy Being Bewitching, and we’re focusing on all the things that make up a bewitching womanly brew in the most proverbial sense. More importantly, it’s a must that we tap into the very natural nature of being bewitching.
The LF woman is mysterious, a little mischievous, determined and headed for success, always stylish and hella beautiful on inside and out. That determination is what September’s entrance is all about. There are places to go, things to do and, ideally, a fabulous coat involved somewhere along the way.
We’ll dive into what should be in your beauty cabinet (and refrigerator), the lipsticks worth your pout play, and chat about the appointment economy: what’s really necessary to schedule and what’s just for pure vanity. A little vanity never hurt anyone. Then there’s the last-minute invite and what our dear Gen Z babies are doing to get out there, the flats that can actually keep up with us, Things I Refuse to Push Into 2027, our NYFW round-up and more.
Not to mention our feature with burgeoning artist Perry Vega. There’s lots to get into this September, and quite frankly, we have somewhere to be.

There’s the business of personal pursuits, as well as working toward the goals we’ve set for the remainder of the year. We’re gearing up to take on autumn fashion in the literal sense: looks to flex, coats to wear and early-evening dinners to share as the sun has already started bidding us adieu earlier and earlier.
Fashion Month is about to start, and my goodness, have you heard the new album from Erykah Badu and The Alchemist? Their song “Witch Doctor” has been on repeat in the office and is one of the inspirations behind this month’s theme. It’s a delicious brew of new and old Badu that I love, providing all the feels needed for a sumptuous autumn to come.
And while we’re at it, there’s still plenty to do before December 31. Career moves to make, projects to finish, bags to get, places to go, people to see and ideas that simply should not be dragged into 2027.
But midnight hasn’t struck just yet.
There’s still plenty of year left to get where we’re going, take a little respite along the way and, naturally, look damn good doing it.
So, where are you going?
