What we saw, what we loved, and who had somewhere to be.
Autumn is making its debut, even if only in seasonal transition rather than actual temperatures, at least here in Los Angeles. Pumpkin-spiced everything has already been in the room since late August. But there’s one event that truly lets autumn show off: NYFW.
And I have to say, New York looked like it was flirting with a renaissance of those Fashion’s Night Out days. The girls were out, showing off everything we’ve been missing from Fashion Week, and honestly, from a few seasons past.

Starting with NYFW closer Thom Browne, who rarely disappoints. So, so good. Actress Denée Benton, dressed in Thom Browne from head to toe, showed off the perfect transeasonal look in an exquisite waist-length, lightweight pinstripe jacket paired with a dark denim mini-A-line pleated skirt. It’s giving elevated schoolgirl.
And while we’re here, set a reminder: Benton returns as Peggy Scott in HBO’s The Gilded Age, premiering Sunday, November 1 at 9 p.m. We’ll be watching.
Then, upcycling designer baddie Sami Miró gave us her own New York City subway micro-series in a captivating, textured two-piece by Cult Gaia. Also, take note: that slicked-back, middle-part ponytail is absolutely coming with us into next spring. Meanwhile, burgeoning singer Baby Rose attended her first NYFW in a beautifully tailored, monochromatic bold-red suit, worthy of her name, for Sergio Hudson’s SS27 show.
And then there’s Tami McPherson, making a wild style statement in a zebra-print pencil skirt paired with a playful plaid button-up, bright red socks, and killer feather-embellished pointed flats. A maximalist fit for a doll on the run. What a lovely, healthy mix of celebs and social girlies reintroducing us to some of the energy of NYFW’s golden years. Here’s to getting back to what made that era so good, chic, spontaneous, and classic in the first place.
And with that, we’re giving our longtime InstaMUSE moniker a stylish little send-off. The way we discover style has grown beyond one feed, one platform, or one scroll, and so has this column.

Anytime Ms. Benton steps out for an event, it’s a showstopper, and this head-to-toe look does not disappoint. It’s giving stylish private school diva with exactly the kind of drama the night deserves.

What You See is What You Get!
Singer Amber Mark hits the Chanel Beauty event in Manhattan for the launch of its new fragrance, Crush Absolute, in a daring sheer frock that shows off her skin and curves.
Giving her audience a chic little look-see with an added dose of romance, she pairs the look with classic Christian Louboutin patent leather stiletto pumps and long, flowing, alluring curls. Altogether, it’s perfectly befitting of a Chanel Beauty princess.

Kitty Cash does more than just DJ. She’s showing off her exquisite, feminine style for one of the most womanly brands on the planet... Coco Chanel! Giving us chic ivory just in time for that transitional weather to hit, the overflowing dark ringlets are the cherry on top. She’s oozing romance, and we like it!

Actress Jodie Turner-Smith never ceases to amaze us every time she steps onto a red carpet or arrives at an event, when she’s not busy taking over our screens. The forever chameleon wears a sheer, fanciful, flowing gown that hugs all the right curves, giving us a beautiful Disney villain come to life. And then there’s that big, coiffed curly Afro, an enchanting finishing touch that instantly draws you in.

Are we bringing back the Showtime classic Subway Stories? Well, model and designer Sami Miró is christening her latest move to New York by not only attending NYFW via subway, but also making a standout fashion statement on the train.
Dressed in a heavily textured Cult Gaia two-piece, with a midriff-baring top and skirt that show off her exquisitely toned silhouette, Miró tops the look with tiny dark sunglasses à la The Matrix and a slicked-back high bun made to snatch every eye along for the ride.
It’s everything New York does best: serving up fashion moments for all to see.

What a Dream in Cream Should Look Like
Digital creative and fashion influencer Carolyn Gray hits the New York Fashion Week streets in an ivory look fit for a birthday queen!
The crochet mini dress by burgeoning designer Nia Thomas, paired with Dior’s beautiful and unforgettable lily-pad statement sandals, is truly a visual treat. Not to mention, the cream blazer takes the look up a few more notches, all christened by her long, romantic box braids.

Singer and musician Baby Rose popped her NYFW cherry by attending designer Sergio Hudson’s Spring 2027 show in a fiery red suit with pointy pumps to match.
The sharply tailored suit dips just enough to bring in a little femininity, while light touches of gold in her accessories break up the monochromatic moment.

Actress and comedian Jessica Williams stepped out in Los Angeles for a glamorous night in a delicious apple-red, sparkling bugle-beaded gown.
Not only showing off her womanly curves, but also illuminating some seriously fine taste in couture, the Oliver Tolentino dress does all the talking. Satin black slingbacks by Le Seul and a petite Carolina Herrera clutch kiss the look perfectly... magnifique!
